Opportunity Enterprises seeks 600 volunteers for Annual Packathon event

Giving back feels so good, and what more fun way is there to give back than with 600 of your closest friends and community members at Opportunity Enterprises’ Annual Packathon. At least 600 volunteers are needed to make this giant event happen on September 21, 2019. Packathon is a six hour event where volunteers come together to support Opportunity Enterprises by stuffing 50,000 Bank of America Chicago Marathon participant bags.

More than 600 volunteers will meet at OE from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. to stuff bags to be delivered to the Marathon. Volunteers will be supplied with plenty of food and beverages to keep them going strong through the event thanks to Papa John’s, Strack & Van Til, Family Express, Starbucks, American Licorice, and Action Water. In addition, all volunteers will receive a free t-shirt thanks in part to Tera’s Sporty Ink.

Volunteers (age 8 and up) can sign up as teams or individuals at www.oppent.org/pack. Then show up before 8 a.m. on September 21, 2019 at Opportunity Enterprises at 2801 Evans Avenue in Valparaiso. For more information contact Amy Wulf at 219-464-9621 ex 333 or [email protected].
