The City of Gary’s Department of Planning and Redevelopment announces a Public Discussion for the City’s Comprehensive Plan, on Thursday, September 21 (5:30-7:30pm), at 504 Broadway (1st Floor), Gary, Indiana. This first public meeting will focus on the Environment & Green Infrastructure section of the Plan, and will include:
- A presentation on the Gary’s environmental challenges, strengths, and opportunities
- An opportunity for community input
The discussion will cover issues like flooding, air and water quality, vacant land problems, neighborhood beautification, and protecting and showcasing our natural environment. This meeting will lead to follow-up workshops in the different districts of the City later this year, to discuss neighborhood specific problems and solutions.
