Northwest Indiana en Blanc Experience

If you are into mystery, intrigue and surprise, the Northwest Indiana en Blanc Experience—Dinner in White is the event for you. For the first time ever in Northwest Indiana (NWI), hundreds of people will gather August 31st at a secret location for a night of food, fun, fellowship and new friendships. Guests must dress in all white with the location remaining a secret until hours before the event.

Dîner en Blanc is a tradition that originates from France. The NWI en Blanc Experience endeavors to mimic this culinary adventure by having attendees use their imagination to create a chic evening picnic in one of NWI’s amazing public spaces. Guests provide their own food, tables, chairs, decor and tablecloths all decorated in white. While outside alcohol is not permitted, a cash bar will be available at the venue. Highlights of the evening include a napkin twirl, sparklers, live entertainment by a Hip Hop Violinist, a DJ and much more. “This night will be unforgettable. In short, it’s the perfect way to celebrate life with family and friends.” said Mary Cossey, one of the organizers of this inaugural occasion. “Picture an elegant sea of white attire with people dining, networking and enjoying one another’s company. That’s what NWI en Blanc Experience is all about.”

Full details about the affair will be disclosed to guests the morning of August 31. Registration will begin at 5:00 p.m. with $5 parking. Entry will not be granted after 7:30 p.m. Guests MUST be dressed in all white. Accents of silver or gold are permissible. Awards will go to the best-dressed table and best-dressed male/female.

Tickets are $50 and may be purchased via Eventbrite. Search using the keywords: Northwest Indiana en Blanc Experience.

Those who purchase tickets this year automatically earn the exclusive opportunity to receive an invite for the following year, Cossey added.

“Tickets are selling much faster than we anticipated, so we encourage everyone to take the plunge and be a part of this uniquely historic occasion,” said Cossey.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit a social service to be announced at a later date. For more information, call 219-313-5072 or visit our Facebook page – NWI en Blanc.
