Northern Indiana Public Service Company LLC (NIPSCO), a Ni-Source Inc., (NYSE: NI) company, announced the selection of Jennifer V. Montague as its vice president of communications and external affairs.
She will report to NIPSCO President Violet Sistovaris and be based at the company’s headquarters in Merrillville, IN.
In this role, Montague will have responsibility for the company’s customer focused branding, marketing, economic development, municipal relations, media relations, advertising, charitable giving and employee communications and engagement efforts for the combined electric and natural gas utility in northern Indiana.
“Jennifer joins with extensive branding, marketing and corporate communications experience with two industry-leading organizations in the Midwest,” Sistovaris said. “We are pleased to have Jennifer join us in our continuing goal of improving service and value for our 1.2 million electric and natural gas customers in northern Indiana.”
Montague joins NIPSCO from Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) where she was most recently the director of business strategy and technology. She also served as the director of revenue management and the director of marketing during her eight years working with the Chicago-based Exelon electric distribution subsidiary. Prior to joining ComEd, Jennifer worked for nearly two decades in a number of communications, branding and marketing positions at British Petroleum (BP) and its Amoco subsidiary company in London (England) and Warrenville, Ill.
Montague earned her Bachelor of Arts in Qualitative Economics and feminist studies from Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago (Chicago, Il.)
