Metra Board to meet in south Cook County

*Metra LogoThe July meeting of the Metra Board of Directors will be held in Olympia Fields, continuing the Board’s efforts to promote greater openness and transparency to Metra customers and the public in the six-county Chicago metropolitan area.

The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on July 27 at the Olympia Fields Country Club, 2800 Country Club Drive, Olympia Fields in the Palladium Room.

This marks the sixth time the Metra Board has met outside of the agency’s downtown Chicago headquarters at 547 W. Jackson. The Board met in DuPage County in April 2014, in Will County in July 2014, in Lake County in September 2014, in McHenry County in May 2015 and in Kane County in September 2015.

“As part of our goal to promote greater transparency and accountability, we have committed to holding our Board meetings throughout all parts of Metra’s service area,” said Metra Board Chairman Martin J. Oberman. “Taking meetings on the road makes it easier for customers and taxpayers to participate and be heard by Metra’s Board and management.”

All Metra board meetings are webcast live at metrarail.com.
