Drag Queens, dinner and glam to hit the South Loop in late summer 2019
Lips, the ultimate drag show and dining experience, recently announced plans to open its first Chicago location in late summer 2019, joining its lineup of show stopping spaces in New York City, San Diego, Fort Lauderdale and Atlanta. The upscale dinner theater, located at 2229 S. Michigan Ave., will feature Chicago-based talent serving up top-notch drag looks along with a full food and beverage menu.
Their grandest location yet, Lips Chicago will feature a kaleidoscope of bejeweled mirrors, four eight-foot crystal chandeliers and sconces, pink leopard tufted walls, velvet curtains, an embellished stage, state-of-the art club lighting and even a glamourous onstage throne to create a one-of-a-kind experience, never before seen in Chicago.

Featuring primarily local talent, Lips’ queens will not only serve up a great show – they will also serve you dinner. Doubling as lively waitresses, the entertainers will take orders and deliver meals with a special side of camp, giving every audience member a front-row seat to the nightly show, which will include lip syncing, live vocals, bawdy humor, choreographed numbers and campy comedy.
Offering guests the ideal venue for a celebration, Lips caters especially to audience members celebrating bachelorette parties, birthdays, anniversaries and even the occasional divorce party. Special guests of honor will enjoy time onstage with the performers and a commemorative photo.
