Let CTA Get You to the Largest Music Festival in Chicago: Lollapalooza!

Extra service to various events including Lollapalooza, Navy Pier Fireworks, Chicago Fire FC and Red Stars games at Soldier Field, baseball games and more

Service: 

  • Rail: Extra service on the Red, Blue and Brown lines. Yellow Line service will be extended until midnight.
  • Bus: Extra service on various routes and there will be bus connections between Metra’s Chicago Union Station and Ogilvie Transportation Center and Grant Park.
  • From Union Station: Take the #126 Jackson eastbound
  • From Ogilvie Transportation Center: Take the #J14 Jeffery Jump southbound

Soldier Field

  • Atlanta United Fire vs. Chicago Fire FC – Sat. 7/30 at 4 p.m.
  • San Diego Wave FC vs. Chicago Red Stars – Sat. 7/30 at 7 p.m.

Guaranteed Rate Field  

  • Oakland Athletics vs. Chicago White Sox – Fri. 7/29 at 7:10 p.m., Sat. 7/30 at 6:15 p.m., Sun. 7/31 at 1:10 p.m.
  • Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago White Sox – Mon. 8/1 and Tues. 8/2 at 7:10 p.m. and Wed. 8/3 at 1:10 p.m.

Service: 

  • Red Line: Guaranteed Rate Field is one block west of the Sox-35th stop.
  • Green Line: The 35th-Bronzeville-IIT stop is three blocks east of the ballpark.
  • CTA’s Park & Ride lots are also a good choice to access CTA train service. For more information, visit transitchicago.com/parking.
  • Adjacent bus routes: To get to the Sox ballpark, or within a few blocks, fans can use:
    • #1 Bronzeville/Union Station (during Monday – Friday rush periods only)
    • #4 Cottage Grove
    • #24 Wentworth
    • #29 State
    • #31 31st (which runs Monday – Friday to 7 p.m.)
    • #35 35th (which connects with Orange and Green lines)
    • #39 Pershing (which connects with Orange and Green lines)
    • #44 Wallace/Racine

Service to the Lakefront: Weekends/Holidays  

The following routes offer service to the lakefront daily from approximately 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.:

Direct service on the #63 route to the 63rd Street Beach has been temporarily suspended due to CDOT construction.
