Learn about taking next steps at Moraine Valley’s College Night

Students from area high schools and Moraine Valley are welcome to attend College Night, Wednesday, Oct. 11, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Health, Fitness & Recreation Center (Building H), on campus, 9000 W. College Pkwy., Palos Hills.

For roughly 10 years, Moraine Valley has hosted this event, where a number of representatives from public and private colleges, proprietary schools and armed forces are available to discuss the admissions process, academic offerings, student life, athletics, financial aid, and more. Moraine Valley representatives also will be on site to discuss the transition to college.

A few of the confirmed attendees include Alverno College, Benedictine University, Central Michigan University, DePaul University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Grand Valley State University, Greenville College, Illinois Institute of Technology, Kendall College, Purdue University, Michigan State University, University of Missouri, University of St. Francis, U.S. Army, and Western Illinois University, to name a few.

“College Night is a great opportunity for our district high school students and families to explore all of the college options available to them as they begin to think about their post high school education. They can get all of their questions answered by a variety of college representatives as they make their college choice,” said Andy Sarata, Moraine Valley director of Admissions and Recruitment.
