KHEF Board Member to keynote MLK event in Ohio

Attorney Barbara A. Bolling-Williams, Katie Hall Educational Foundation Board Member and Indiana State President, NAACP will deliver the keynote address on behalf of Chairman and CEO Junifer Hall, JD, MPA, MBA at the “Annual MLK Unity Walk and Program” scheduled for Sunday, January 15, 2017, at 3 p.m. The event is being sponsored by the Black Heritage Library and Multicultural Center in Findlay, Ohio.

The Katie Hall Educational Foundation and millions of Americans will celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday Law Observance on Monday, January 16, 2017, in honor of the civil rights leader’s 88th birthday.

Former United States Representative Katie Hall of Gary, Indiana successfully authored and sponsored legislation (H.R. 3706) to observe the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the third Monday of January. The legislation was signed into federal law by Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States of America on November 2, 1983; and the first Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday Law Observance occurred in January 1986.
