Indiana schools can have an IDEM presentation for Earth Day

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) will help Hoosier students celebrate Earth Day 2016 by offering free classroom presentations in April.

Agency employees will visit schools throughout Indiana to discuss their careers in public service and share lessons in air, land and water quality, along with topics like recycling.

The presentation request deadline is March 11. Presentations vary in length from 30 to 50 minutes and include interactive activities such as “EnviroQuiz” and building an edible landfill. Presentations will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis and will occur April 4–15. Schools may request up to four presentations.

School officials should complete the online IDEM Earth Day Celebration Speaker Request form at http://www.in.gov/surveytool/public/survey.php?name=Earth_Day_Speaker_Form_2016_r2.

Additional information about presentations is available at http://www.in.gov/idem/iee/2380.htm.
