Indiana Minority Health Coalition presents Focus on Health

The Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC) will present a forum titled, “Focus on Health: The Intersection of Public Policy and Health Disparities” to the Indiana Statehouse to celebrate Minority Health Month and Public Health Week on April 4, 2017. The panel discussions will be informative and interactive talks on the opioid epidemic plaguing Hoosiers as well as on the diversity of health disparities in our state.

“IMHC is excited to host this forum to highlight the inextricable connection between public policy and public health,” said Carl Ellison, President of Indiana Minority Health Coalition. “Health policy underpins decisions, plans, and actions to achieve specific healthcare goals. This is an important part of the work of IMHC and our twenty-three (23) local minority health affiliates.”

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required at http://tinyurl.com/IMHC-FocusOnHealth. Registration opens at 9:00 am at the Indianapolis State House North Atrium.

The program begins at 10:00 am. Our legislative update in the morning will include free coffee with legislators, and a catered lunch in the afternoon.
