The Indiana Black Expo released two .30 second ads as part of its I Am Your Brother. I Am Your Sister. Conflict Resolution Media Campaign. The campaign, which is one component of IBE’s Conflict Resolution Initiative, will run through the summer from June 12th until August 30th.

The initiative, funded by The City of Indianapolis and administered through CICF, will include targeted anti-violence messaging, the use of college outreach workers and a Conflict-Resolution Real Talk Teen Forum on Saturday, July 15th inside the Indiana Convention Center. The featured keynote and facilitator of the forum is Activist and Rapper David Banner.

Over 11 weeks, the media campaign will include 5 poignant 30-second ads appealing to youth and young adults to stop the violence and report information that they might know to IMPD. Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and former Colt Robert Mathis are in two of the five ads that will run. On Saturday, July 15, “I Am Your Sister. I Am Your Brother” bracelets will be provided to youth that attend Summer Celebration and the Real Talk Teen Forum.

One hundred college students that are either members of historically Black fraternities or student athletes will serve as outreach workers on that same day to help encourage and empower the youth inside the exhibition hall.
