ID Day at the Field Museum and it’s free

The Field Museum is hosting its annual ID Day event when visitors can meet the Museum’s scientists and get experts to identify the fossils, rocks, shells, snakeskins, leaves, bones, feathers, and whatever else they’ve collected. This is the day to find out whether that rock on your bookshelf really is a meteorite, or what that cool bird you snapped a photo of on vacation is called. Even if you don’t have anything to get identified, you can still come by and see all the behind-the-scenes specimens our scientists will have on display. And, as always, ID Day coincides with a Free Day for all Illinois residents!
