‘Harold Washington: The Life and Times’ documentary June 20

The enduring legacy of Chicago’s first Black Mayor, the beloved late Harold Washington will be once again revitalized on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at a special encore presentation screening of the acclaimed documentary film, “Harold Washington – The Life and Times.” The exciting documentary chronicles the historic and intensely powerful campaign to elect Chicago’s first African-American Mayor.

Mark Your Calendars! Due to overwhelming demand, the Mayor Harold Washington Legacy Committee (MHWLC), a local nonprofit dedicated to preserving Mayor Washington’s memory and legacy, is hosting the community for a showing of this powerful film on Tuesday, June 20, in the Banquet Hall of the Apostolic Church of God, 6320 South Dorchester Avenue, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
