The enduring legacy of Chicago’s first Black Mayor, the beloved late Harold Washington will be once again revitalized on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at a special encore presentation screening of the acclaimed documentary film, “Harold Washington – The Life and Times.” The exciting documentary chronicles the historic and intensely powerful campaign to elect Chicago’s first African-American Mayor.

Due to overwhelming demand, the Mayor Harold Washington Legacy Committee (MHWLC), a local nonprofit dedicated to preserving Mayor Washington’s memory and legacy, is hosting the community for a showing of this powerful film on Tuesday, June 20, in the Banquet Hall of the Apostolic Church of God, 6320 South Dorchester Avenue, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
