Glen to Feature Louise Lee’s Black Musical Tribute

In recognition of Black History Month and in support of the African American Achievers Youth Corps, Inc. and Brothers Keeper, Louise Lee will sponsor her annual historical music production entitled Black Music Matters – Tribute to Music Greats on Friday, February 8 at 7 p.m. in the Glen Theatre, 20 W. Ridge Road. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The production will feature singers, instrumentalist and models.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.  Tickets may be purchased at Beautiful Things in the Village Shopping Mall or by calling 883-3907 and 887-2046.

Brothers Keeper is a shelter for homeless men located at 2020 Broadway in Gary.  The African American Achievers is a youth male mentoring group. Educators and parents interested in referring or enrolling male students should contact Vernon G. Smith, Board Chairman, at 887-2046. The program is open to African American boys, grades 6-12.
