Gary Police Set Trick or Treat Hours from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson, the Gary Common Council and the City of Gary will host the Annual Harvest Festival for children on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Hudson-Campbell Fitness Center; parking lot from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Activities will include games, prizes, free food, music and entertainment, a costume parade and an array of vendors with valuable information from Fire and Police, dental and health professionals, Green Urbanism, Recycling and others…entertainment at 6:00 p.m. Again this year the Harvest Festival will include the city’s Trunk or Treat. The Trunk or Treat will begin at 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The Hudson-Campbell is located at 455 Massachusetts Street. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside.
Parents are invited and are encouraged to bring their children to this citywide event for fun and treats as an alternative to trick or treating from door to door.
For parents choosing to allow their children to trick or treat on city streets, please be advised that the Gary Police Department has set trick or treat hours on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
