Lincoln (PA) vs. Kentucky State Football Classic and Events
In its inaugural year, the Gary Football Classic (GFC) is a matchup featuring Lincoln (PA) and Kentucky State Universities, as they meet on the gridiron in a new interconference rivalry. The Gary Football Classic will be showcased at West Side Leadership Academy Stadium, on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Now the Lions and Thoroughbreds get to write another chapter in the legendary CIAA/SIAC showdown between the interconference rivals.
This event is organized by BCSG 360 and supported by the City of Gary, Lake County, Gary Community School Corporation and more.
This one game winner-take-all is more than a bragging right, its special for players, coaches and the thousands of fans expected to attend. This game will shape up standings in the Black College Football polls while showcasing possibly the CIAA/SIAC champions, and even the 2017 NCAA Division II Football Playoff.

Athletic Directors and Head Football Coaches from Kentucky State and Lincoln Universities will discuss the interconference rivalry matchup.

The HBCU Experience, West Side Leadership Academy – September 20, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about, be admitted onsite and receive scholarship awards to an HBCU. More than 25 HBCUs will be represented with the intent of recruiting Gary’s best and brightest students.
Battle of the Bands, West Side Leadership Academy – September 20, 2019 @ 7:00 p.m.
The staple of Black College Football is the marching band. Before Kentucky State and Lincoln face-off on the gridiron the bands from both schools will settle the score of who has the best band in the land. This showcase of music performance and precision drill is must see.

Stomp-a-thon, West Side Leadership Academy – September 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
A Black College Step Show is definitely the way to close out the Gary Football Classic Weekend. Representatives of the “Divine Nine” from college campuses across the country will battle like there is no tomorrow in hopes of claiming the crown of the Stomp-a-thon Champion.
