Future Ties, the after school program at Parkway Gardens started by Chicago Police Officer Jennifer Maddox in 2012, will host a free barbeque that will serve Thanksgiving meals to 1,000 people.
The dinner will be served from 6 p.m. to 8.p.m on Tuesday, November 19 at Parkway Garden Christian Church, 6600 S. King Drive.
The organization is encouraging guests to bring their families.
