On Saturday, September 13, the 5th Annual Fall Fest will be held on Ridge Road in front of the Glen Theater, 20 W. Ridge Road, from 1-5 p.m. The event, which is free, is being hosted by State Rep. Vernon G. Smith, Gary Councilman Dwight A. Williams, Sheriff Oscar Martinez, and County Assessor LaTonya Spearman.
A disc jockey will provide music for dancing from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be vendors offering giveaways, free school supplies, and complimentary food and drinks, including hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, candy, ice cream, three bounce houses for the children, games, and prizes, along with continuous live entertainment on stage.
Scheduled on the stage are Tamilla Calloway, Michael Curtis, Bruce Pearson, Jay-Lan Halliburton, Mateena Hough, Allison Faye Joiner, Pastor Gregg Frazier, and Pamela Pruitt (all vocalists); NuEmage Dance Team, and Jazzy Ladies (dance troupes); and Tony Tei” ai (Michael Jackson impersonator).
