Grace Beyond Borders NWI recently announced plans to host its first “Face of Grace Walk-a-thon” on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. on the grounds of the JWA Boys and Girls Club in Gary, Indiana. Funds raised will go toward their building fund.
After being in operation for 5 years, the organization plans to secure a stand-alone space to facilitate their continued growth, outreach efforts and the significant impact to those struggling with homelessness and drug addiction throughout Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland.
A $40,000 fundraising goal has been set for the inaugural event to achieve or exceed. The public is invited to participate in the Walk-a-thon, or as a sponsor. Any and every amount will make a difference at this landmark event to help Grace Beyond Borders give those in need a hand up, not a hand out!
The planned schedule is as follows: 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. – Registration; 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. – Walk/Run (One time around equals a mile. Participants can walk/run up to 3 times); and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Vendor Fair.
