Edgewater celebrates employees’ 140 years of combined service

The Edgewater Systems monthly staff meeting was not a routine meeting in March for the 135 employees—it was a celebration.

On March 31 the management at Edgewater Systems recognized its employees with 20-40 years of service. The staff met at the Edgewater Resource Center, 1100 W. 6th Ave. in Gary to hear the State of the Agency, have new staff introduced and to award certificates and gifts.

The Edgewater Systems’ Customer Service Committee hosted the Employees Appreciation Award presentation, which recognized a combined 140 years of employee anniversaries. The event was designed to be all-inclusive – for the faculty and staff, as well as provide a celebratory forum for employees to socialize, connect with peers, and receive a plethora of information. It was an opportunity for peers to congratulate one another for their outstanding years of service. The achievements and longevity of Edgewater is due to a driven Edgewater family with commitment, dedication and hard work.

“We are grateful for the knowledge that all of our longstanding team members share with new hires, they are all pillars of positivity for all who they come in contact with,” said Ms. Arlene Pearson, Chief Human Resource Officer.
