Dr. Sharron Liggins to receive award at Edgewater Speakeasy Gala

On Friday, October 14, 2016, the Ambassadors for Edgewater will host its annual Speakeasy Gala. The event will be held at the Sand Creek Country Club, Chesterton, IN from 6 p.m.-11:30 p.m. For over fourteen years the Ambassadors have hosted an annual gala to help raise much needed funds.

These monies go a long way to provide the financial support to assist Edgewater to continue providing services to persons in the community experiencing behavioral health challenges, including those who need help but have no way to pay.

The funds also assist Edgewater in its marketing and outreach efforts that are aimed at removing the stigma associated with mental illness and addiction.

Tickets are $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of 10 at this year’s gala, which will feature opportunities for guests to play their hand on the gaming tables and to bid in the silent auction. The evening would not be complete without flavorsome food to tantalize an individual’s taste buds.

To really enjoy an ambiance only second to an actual speakeasy experience it is recommended that guests dress Black Tie optional or according to the event’s theme, which is “The Speakeasy.”

The Mike LaBroi Band will provide music to the Speakeasy Era and other entertainment geared towards the Speakeasy Era with their 7-piece band.
