Domino’s® to Celebrate New ‘Pizza Theater’ Store in Portage

Local Domino’s store looking to add more friendly faces to an exceptional team

Domino’s in Portage, located at 1895 Crisman Rd., will open its doors and celebrate its new “pizza theater” on Friday, October 25. This will be the second Domino’s in Portage.

In celebration of the store’s opening, customers can enjoy medium one-topping carryout pizzas for $3.99 each from Oct. 25 – Nov. 10.

“We are dedicated to the Portage area and are excited to better serve its residents,” said Jim Gronemann, Portage Domino’s franchise owner. “We have a deeply experienced team of folks who live and work in Portage and they are eager to offer our delicious products, exceptional service, and innovative ordering technology to the community.”

Domino’s features the new pizza theater store design which allows flexibility for a number of elements otherwise unheard of when it comes to the “traditional” Domino’s store. Highlights include a comfortable lobby, open-area viewing of the food preparation process and the ability to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. The store also features a chalkboard to allow customers to express their creativity or leave feedback for the store team members.

The store is also looking to hire. All of the new positions offered are for delivery drivers, customer service representatives, assistant managers and general managers.

Gronemann started working at Domino’s as a delivery driver in 1984. He worked his way up to becoming a franchise owner and now owns 20 Domino’s stores in Indiana and Illinois. Gronemann is not alone – more than 90 percent of Domino’s U.S. franchise owners began their career as part-time Domino’s employees.
