Culver’s Looks to Fill 60 to 70 New Jobs

The new Culver’s restaurant that will open at 111th and Doty Avenue in early November is seeking applicants to fill 60-70 full-, and part-time employees for both day and evening positions.

“We see our job as mentoring our team members so they can grow their careers with us and even became owners of a restaurant,” said Baron Waller, owner and one of the mentors who grew up on Chicago’s West Side and earned his MBA at the University of Michigan. “It’s important that we work in the community to provide people of all ages with new opportunities that offer the skills and experience which prepare them for whatever future endeavors and career path they choose. It is one of the best ways to build a brighter future,” added Mr. Waller.

Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but it is not necessary because Culver’s offers on-going training. Interested applicants need to apply by visiting www.Culversjobs.com.

The new Culver’s location will be the first stand-alone and casual sit-down dining option to open in Pullman in years. It will feature indoor and patio seating as well as a drive-thru. It will be the third Culver’s location in Chicago for owner Baron Waller who owns a Culver’s in the Ravenswood and Lincoln Square area and one in Bronzeville. He hopes to open additional Chicago locations, in addition to the three city locations, Mr. Waller also owns three Culver’s restaurants in the southwest suburbs.

“We’re excited that Baron has chosen to bring Culver’s to the Pullman and Roseland community,” said 9th Ward Alderman Anthony A. Beale. “Culver’s will be a great addition to the community serving not only residents, but the visitors to the Pullman National Monument Visitor, the Pullman Community Center and employees of all the businesses in the area and more.

Culver’s, a national chain, was launched in 1984 when Craig Culver along with his family opened the first location in the family’s hometown of Sauk City, WI. They built their reputation on providing great cooked-to-order food with an emphasis on service, hospitality, and community involvement. Their signature items include the ButterBurger and Fresh Frozen Custard. Today, there are more than 775 locations in 25 states, including three in Chicago and many more in the Chicago-region.
