VETERAN BUILD HELPS veterans become owners of homes they help build through a Habitat for Humanity of NWI program. Volunteers photographed above donate their time to help complete a home for a veteran.

The Veteran partner family for the Merrillville home has been selected and the site of the home is 7331 Marshall in Merrillville. The Veteran is a hard-working Lake County resident, currently completing the volunteer hours required of all partner families. He is looking forward to owning his first home, and is thankful for the support of the Northwest Indiana Veterans Action Council.

The Northwest Indiana Veterans Action Council is a committee that seeks both to coordinate services provided to active service members and veterans and to promote awareness of new initiatives on their behalf. They are proud to be working with Habitat for Humanity of NWI on the third Veterans Build in Northwest Indiana.
