As our city and county are expected to face dangerous and potentially historic weather conditions this week, the Cook County offices of the Assessor, the Board of Review, the Clerk and the Recorder of Deeds will be closed on Wednesday, January 30th and Thursday, January 31st, 2019.

While our offices take seriously the need for public accessibility, our greater concern is for the safety of the people of Cook County.

It is our hope that taking this step will communicate to the public the seriousness of the weather we’re experiencing and encourage everyone to act out of an abundance of caution. In addition, we encourage the public and our respective staffs to check on those populations who are most vulnerable to the cold, including the elderly and people within their communities who are experiencing physical disabilities or are lacking in shelter.
