CMX Cinemas, the eighth largest movie theater chain in the United States, ushers in a new luxury theater-going experience to the Chicago area with the launch of two new high-end cinema experiences—CMX Cinebistro and CMX Market in Skokie, Illinois. With two new theaters at the Westfield Old Orchard, each offering a different VIP movie-viewing experience, CMX Cinemas invites guests to enjoy the best films of the summer immersed in luxurious amenities and cutting-edge technology.
Admission for guests over the age of 21 at CMX Cinebistro will be $16 on weekend evenings, $13 on weekday evenings, $12 for matinee showings on weekends and $10 for matinee showings on weekdays. Seniors and military guests receive admission for $12 every day of the week at CMX Cinebistro. At CMX Market, admission for adult guests is $13.50 on weekend evenings, $12 on weekday evenings, $10.50 for matinee showings on weekends and $8.50 for matinee showings on weekdays. Students and military guests receive admission for $10.50 on weekends and $9.50 on weekdays, and children’s and seniors tickets are $9.50 every day of the week.
Both locations offer special admission prices on Tuesdays, with Tempting Tuesdays at CMX Cinebistro for $10 and Terrific Tuesdays at CMX Market for $5 admission all day. “With movie-going concepts for the Chicago market, CMX Cinemas is taking the theater experience to an entirely new level. At the CMX Market, guests of all ages are welcome to enjoy their choice of elevated favorites with a lineup of gourmet food stations, custom cocktails and more, all while enjoying the best films of the season,” said Jose Leonardo Marti, CEO of CMX Cinemas.

The new theater concept with the CMX Cinebistro is one that views dining as a great precursor to a great film. Adults 21 and over who just want to get away from it all can enjoy a great meal and catch a great film. It’s a good mix for those couples who are busy or just want to go out to have a great time, without having to go to a fancy restaurant and then squeezing in a movie.
At CMX Cinebistro, movie-goers can enjoy full-service gourmet, in-seat dining with an elegant bar and lounge. With menu items including a grilled Allen Brothers steak, a pan seared grilled salmon with spinach and the shrimp mac and cheese, CMX Cinebistro allows guests to enjoy a full gourmet meal from the comfort of their upholstered leather seats upon arrival to the theater. Movie-goers will have the opportunity to order meals in advance or while at the theater, where orders are discreetly brought directly to the guest’s chosen seat. Each chair also includes a dim LED light, a convenient USB outlet and storage compartments for purses and shopping bags in addition to a service staff call button for any additional orders or requests.
CMX Market is the family-centered theater for all ages, with self-serve culinary and beverage selections. The Market concept is inspired by the popular and fashionable food hall concepts and eateries that will allow foodies to experience a full array of gourmet action stations, including the in-house pizza station featuring delicious hand-crafted pizzas made from scratch with market fresh ingredients; a burgers and shakes destination featuring mouth-watering made-to-order burgers and smooth and creamy hand-spun shakes; a delicatessen go-to station featuring elegant cheese and charcuterie platters, market-fresh salads, gourmet deli sandwiches and a fine variety of wine, beer and soda; a popcorn lab featuring a selection of gourmet fresh-popped hot popcorn and a full bar offering signature cocktails.
