The Community Development Department is requesting bids for rehabilitation work for The City of Gary Apartment 445 Connecticut Street.
The rehabilitation work to be performed will be funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. These funds provide communities with the resources to address a wide range of community development needs.
Contractors submitting bids must be licensed general contractors, must have bonding and insurance and must be certified under the U.S. EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule for lead-safe work practices.
Copies of licenses, bonding and insurance must be provided.
ALL Bid Packages were available on Monday, September 23, 2019 through Friday, September 27, 2019; Monday, September 30, 2019 and Tuesday, October 1, 2019 between the hours of 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM ONLY.
ALL Bid Packages are distributed in the Department of Community Development, 839 Broadway, Suite 302N, Gary, Indiana 46402.
To receive a Bid Package, you must report to the Community Development Department.
Bids will be received up to and including the time for the call for bids at the meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM.
The Board of Public Works and Safety meeting is held at Gary City Hall, 401 Broadway, 2nd Floor in the Cleo Wesson Lounge.
Bids may be submitted prior to the meeting at the Department of Public Works, 900 Madison Street, Gary, Indiana 46402.
