Chicago Radio welcomes Gary, Indiana’s own Dinahlynn Biggs

As of December 2, 2017 Gary Indiana’s veteran radio personality Dinahlynn Biggs will cross state lines to join radio in Chicago. Dinahlynn, formerly of AM 1370 WLTH Gary, IN for over 15 years intermittently, is known to be one of the longest running personalities at the station.

Biggs has been touching generations in the Gary Community since the 70s. Her contributions to the community that she grew up in speak for themselves. As a radio personality Dinahlynn has served as station Engineer, Producer and Program Director, breaking records worldwide. Artists travel from ar-ound the world to connect with Dinahlynn and to break their music.

The debut of The Dinahlynn Biggs Show in Chicago is slated to air in the same time slot that The Dinahlynn Biggs Show has broadcast in over the last five years. She will hit the airwaves Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. CST starting December 2, 2017.

The studio will be open on that day for her friends and fans to stop by. Various recording artists are slated to come by as well.

WOSD Radio, home of Old Skoll & Dusties located at 1665 E. 79th Street in Chicago, is excited to have a person of such music history join the team. Biggs has worked with Vee Jay Records and the late Herb Kent. She will be the only other woman to join the WOSD station where she will team up with nationally known comedian, Sheryl Underwood.

Biggs is nationally syndicated and locally adored as a community activist with her own defining style. She has built a large fan base across the Midwest over 35 years, known for her ability to take her listening audience “from the 8 Track to the latest App” which gives her that personal touch with listeners, to energetically communicate with her audience all around the world. Some celebrities and artists who have worked with Dinahlynn over the years include: Katherine Jackson, matriarch of the Jackson Family; Babyface; Freddie Jackson; Gene Chandler, the Duke of Earl; Marshall Thompson of the Chi-Lites; and Tito Jackson of the Jackson 5.

As of 2015, Dinahlynn and her team had singlehandedly taken social media by storm, with Google recording over one million views collectively while breaking records. “The Dinahlynn Biggs Show” has branched off as of July 2016 to independently syndicate her show on several stations including Indie World Media, which broadcasts in 29 countries. With Internet radio being the wave of the future Dinahlynn felt it was time to jump in. You can hear the shows in the car on your APP, Android phone or computer.

Dinahlynn as a young DJ was one of the first to break neophyte music from the Hip Hop era, and was one of the first to play Hip Hop from the record label, Sugar Hill Records. As of 2017, Blues legend Bobby Rush received his first Grammy from his hit single that broke on the Dinahlynn Biggs Show.
