The Chicago Bulls organization continues to be a major force for positive change in the city, according to its recently released 2024-2025 Community Impact Report. The report details a wide range of initiatives aimed at addressing critical needs, fostering community connections, and celebrating Chicago’s rich cultural tapestry.
The Bulls’ commitment goes beyond the basketball court, with programs designed to empower youth, support local businesses, and strengthen neighborhoods. Through Chicago Bulls Charities (CBC), the team’s philanthropic arm, the organization leverages its resources and influence to support impactful relationships with corporate partners, season ticket holders, and fans.
A key focus of the Bulls’ community efforts is youth development. The “Beyond the Ball” initiative, a partnership with a local non-profit, demonstrates this commitment by refurbishing basketball courts in Little Village, providing safe spaces for young people and honoring the neighborhood’s Latiné culture. The organization is also dedicated to increasing access to sports for girls through programs like “Girls’ Day of Play” and the “Girls Coaching Cohort,” which provide mentorship and empower coaches. Youth basketball clinics, such as the Zenni PE Takeovers and City Edition Neighborhood Clinics, offer further opportunities for kids to get active and build community through sports.
The Bulls recognize the importance of supporting local businesses, particularly within the Black community. The “Black-Owned Business Program” and the “Business Spotlight Series,” in partnership with BMO, promote and celebrate these vital community assets.
The organization is also invested in education and leadership development. The “Infinity Project,” in collaboration with United Airlines, works with high school students to deepen their understanding of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) fields. “Project Elevate,” in partnership with AMPT, provides local nonprofit leaders with opportunities to enhance their leadership skills and professional development, strengthening the entire community ecosystem.
The Bulls’ dedication to Chicago extends to environmental initiatives as well. “The Rose Garden,” a partnership with Derrick Rose, supports Growing Home, an urban farm in Englewood, by creating a pollinator garden to enhance food production and community green space.
Through these diverse and impactful programs, the Chicago Bulls organization demonstrates a deep commitment to using its platform to create lasting positive change throughout the city.
