Chicago Bulls lose to the Boston Celtics 107-99 on the road

The Chicago Bulls three game winning streak came to an end on Monday, January 9, after losing 107-99 to the Boston Celtics on the road.

The Bulls were led by guard Zach LaVine, who scored 27 points in the loss against the Celtics on Monday. Forward DeMar DeRozan also was injured during the game.

“The way he played gave us a chance to win and I thought our guys competed and battled,”said Bulls coach Billy Donovan via the Associated Press. “But I thought there were some things we needed to clean up, like the rebounding and some of the straight-line drives and some of the late rotations.”

The Bulls were outscored by the Celtics, 28-25 in the first quarter, 31-25 in the second quarter and 25-23 in the third quarter. Although the Bulls were outscored by the Celtics in the first three quarters, they would close out the fourth quarter with 26 points. The team won the quarter 26-23.

Final score: Bulls 99, Celtics 107

Chicago Bulls guard Javonte Green will underwent an arthroscopic debridement of his right knee on Wednesday, January 11. He will be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks.

Up next, the Bulls will play Washington Wizards today, January 11, on the road. Game time 6 p.m. CT. For more information on the Bulls next game, visit our website at chicagocrusader.com
