The Chicago Bulls are now on a three game winning streak after earning a 126-118 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday, January 8, at the United Center.
In their last three games, the Bulls snapped the Brooklyn Nets winning streak, snapped a 12-game losing streak against the Philadelphia 76ers and finished 2-0 against the Jazz this season.
“The learning moment for our team is guys can make two or three hard shots in a row, and you still got to maintain your discipline to the game plan to play to the level of intensity you need on defense,” said Jazz coach Will Hardy via NBC Sports. “You can’t let three tough shots deflate you, and I felt that’s what happened in those moments. Our energy level went down.”
Thanks to 36 points by guard Zach LaVine and 35 points by forward DeMar DeRozan, the two led the Bulls to their 19th win of the season.
The Bulls outscored the Jazz 28-24 in the first quarter and 42-29 in the fourth quarter to close out the game. The team outrebounded the Jazz 44-39 on the boards.
Final score: Bulls 126, Jazz 118
With the victory, the Bulls are now 19-21 on the season. Up next, the Bulls will play the Boston Celtics on Monday, January 9, on the road. Game time 6:30 p.m.
