WHAT: Candidates for the March 17, 2020 Presidential Primary Election will file their nominating petitions with Cook County Clerk Karen A. Yarbrough’s office on Monday, November 25. Candidates vying for the coveted top spots on the ballot are expected to line up on Washington Street well before the Cook County Administration Building opens. At 6 a.m., the candidates will be escorted out of the cold to the City of Chicago Board of Election Commissioners Pedway room where, at 9 a.m., those present will have their papers stamped.
WHEN: 9 a.m. on Monday, November 25
WHERE: Cook County Administration Building, 69 W. Washington St., Lower Level, City of Chicago Board of Election Commissioners Pedway room.
WHO: Only candidates running for the following offices are required to submit their paperwork to the Clerk’s office: Clerk of the Circuit Court; State’s Attorney; County Board of Review (District 1); Commissioners for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District; and Ward Committeepersons for the City of Chicago.
All other candidates will file with the Illinois State Board of Elections in Springfield, Illinois.
