On Saturday, August 19 at 2:00 p.m. C.R.O.E. (Coalition for Remembrance of Hon. Elijah Muhammad) will present a special feature presentation as a part of the organization’s monthly film series.
The Nation, an independent motion picture directed in the early 1990s by Juney Smith, provides the audience with both an insightful and objective glance into the events, circumstances and personalities that participated in the shaping of the Nation of Islam in America. This film unlike other material attempts to provide viewers with a better understanding of the relationship the Nation of Islam leader the Hon. Elijah Muhammad (1897-1975) had with his teacher Master Fard Muhammad, his son Imam Warithudeen Mohammed (aka Wallace Muhammad) and two of his more prominent ministers Malcolm X and Louis Farrakhan. The role of two FBI infiltrators who joined the ranks of the FOI are also featured, and how the pair struggled to stay united on the assignment to divide and dismantle the Nation.
C.R.O.E. is located at 2435 W. 71st. For ticket information contact C.R.O.E at (773) 925-1600.
