The Chicago Bulls are now 19-27 on the season, after losing 109-97 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, January 25, at the UC.
Center Nikola Vucevic finished second in team scoring with 22 points and 12 rebounds in last night’s game, marking his 29th double-double of the season (sixth in the NBA), according to Bulls PR. The Bulls said Vučević tied Joakim Noah for fourth in Bulls history in double-doubles recorded with 187 such games.
In addition to Vucevic’s double-double streak, guard Zach LaVine added 25 points, marking his 10th game in January with 25-plus points (ranks third in the NBA), added Bulls PR.
The Bulls said LaVine has 24 games of 25-plus points this season, which ranks tied for sixth in the NBA. Chicago turned over the ball 20 times, which led to 25 points off turnovers for Philadelphia, according to the Bulls.
The 76ers entered the game averaging 19.5 points off turnovers per game this season, which ranked sixth in the NBA in 2024-25, added Bulls PR.
The Bulls said the first half featured 10 lead changes and nine ties with the largest lead being seven points held by the 76ers (53-60). At the half, Chicago trailed Philadelphia, 53-60.
In the second half, the Bulls said the team outscored the 76ers, 30 to 20, in the third quarter – boasting a 17-2 run between 6:33 in the third quarter to 1:49 in the third to give the Chicago their largest lead of the game at the time (seven points, 81-74).
To close out the game, the Bulls said the 76ers went on a 14-4 run in the final minutes of the fourth quarter (3:42, fourth quarter to 1:23, fourth quarter) to solidify its advantage (97-109) and to ice the game.
