Bulls Take Care of Business at Home Against Nets

The Chicago Bulls returned to the United Center on Wednesday night, December 3, 2025, and delivered a steady, businesslike performance against the Brooklyn Nets, using balanced scoring and consistent execution to secure a home victory and snap a four-game losing streak.

Coming into the matchup, Chicago had struggled to find rhythm during a grueling stretch of road games and entered the night at 9–11. Facing a rebuilding Brooklyn team that arrived with one of the Eastern Conference’s worst records, the Bulls leaned on ball movement, interior scoring, and timely perimeter shooting to regain footing in front of the home crowd.

Chicago set the tone early by establishing Nikola Vučević in the paint, allowing the veteran center to dictate matchups and draw defensive attention. Vučević finished with a double-double, continuing a stretch of steady production that has anchored the Bulls during an inconsistent early season. His presence helped Chicago control the glass and limit Brooklyn’s second-chance opportunities.

Josh Giddey once again served as the engine of the offense, filling the stat sheet with points, rebounds, and assists while directing traffic in the half court. The guard’s ability to push pace after defensive rebounds created early scoring chances and kept the Nets from setting their defense. Giddey’s playmaking was especially effective in the second quarter, when Chicago built separation by stringing together multiple scoring runs without relying on isolation.

Matas Buzelis continued his development with an assertive performance on both ends of the floor. The forward attacked off the dribble, knocked down perimeter shots, and provided length defensively, finishing as one of Chicago’s top scorers. His activity on the wing gave the Bulls a needed offensive complement to their interior attack.

Ayo Dosunmu added another strong outing, contributing efficient scoring and defensive pressure in the backcourt. Dosunmu’s ability to push tempo and finish in transition helped Chicago maintain momentum during stretches when Brooklyn attempted to close the gap.

While the Nets were able to generate offense in spurts, Chicago consistently answered with stops and timely baskets. Brooklyn struggled to sustain scoring against Chicago’s defensive rotations, and the Bulls took advantage of turnovers and missed shots to keep control of the game.

The third quarter proved pivotal. Chicago opened the half with renewed defensive energy, limiting Brooklyn’s penetration while converting opportunities at the other end. The Bulls’ ball movement led to open looks from beyond the arc, forcing the Nets to stretch their defense and opening driving lanes.

By the fourth quarter, Chicago was able to manage the game with poise, spreading the scoring load and avoiding the late-game lapses that had plagued them in recent losses. Contributions off the bench provided additional stability, allowing the Bulls to close out the win without needing heroics.

The victory marked an important reset for Chicago as the schedule turns back toward home games. After dropping four straight, the Bulls showed improved focus, cleaner execution, and a renewed commitment to playing through multiple options rather than relying on individual scoring bursts.

Chicago improved its home record to 6–2 with the win and will look to build on the performance as the season progresses. With a young core continuing to find its footing and veterans providing stability, the Bulls remain focused on consistency as they prepare for the next stretch of games.
