Barack Obama Delivers Christmas Presents To Children’s Hospital

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.”

Our President Barack Obama melted the hearts of humans everywhere after stopping by Washington D.C.’s Children’s National Hospital to hand out toys and visit with families.

While a long white and snowy beard was absent, the 44th President of the United States showed up with red Santa hat and toy sack in tow. Obama was greeted by the sounds of singing staff members, who treated him to a rendition of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.”

“I just want to say thank you to all of you guys,” Obama graciously told them. “I got a chance to talk to some of the wonderful kids and their families, and at a time that obviously is tough for folks. As a dad of two girls, I can only imagine in that situation to have nurses, staff, and doctors and people who are caring for them, and looking after them, and listening to them, and just there for them and holding their hand. That’s the most important thing there is.”

Visiting room-after-room, the 57-year-old politician passed holiday toys and plenty of joy to children and families who would be spending their holidays in the hospital. Obama also recorded messages for patients he was unable to visit, wishing them a happy holiday season.

A kind act with enough love to melt even the Grinchiest of hearts, Obama helped remind everyone what the true holiday spirit is about.
