Adler Planetarium offers free admission on Veterans Day

WHAT: On Friday, November 11, spend the day at one of Chicago’s top cultural institutions—the Adler Planetarium— for FREE! The Adler is offering all Illinois residents FREE general admission on Veterans Day.

And, while you are there stay for the Adler’s FREE Doane at Dusk event in the evening. Home to the largest aperture telescope available to the public in the Chicagoland area, Adler’s Doane Observatory provides visitors a unique opportunity to see a variety of celestial objects like the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and more! At Doane at Dusk, guests enjoy nighttime telescope viewings and related discussions with Adler Astronomers after regular museum hours.

HOURS: Free General Admission Doane at Dusk
9:30 am – 4 pm 6 – 9 pm

PRICES: FREE general admission at the Adler Planetarium is for Illinois residents with proof of residency. Illinois residents also may upgrade to an All Access Pass at a discounted price: $17.95 for adults; $16.95 for children. Doane at Dusk events are free, weather permitting and based on first come, first served—no tickets required.

Active military personnel receive free general admission to the Adler all year long with proper identification.
