Ohio State University police reported an “active shooter” on campus Monday morning — and seven people have been taken to the hospital.

Two of the seven were in stable condition, according to the Columbus Fire Department. The conditions of the others were unknown.

“Run Hide Fight,” the university’s emergency management office tweeted, identifying the scene as Watts Halls.

“Continue to shelter in place.”

Heavily armed police and ambulances could be seen on the Columbus campus, where nearly 60,000 students are enrolled.

The FBI, Ohio State police and Columbus police were assisting university police.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich tweeted that the state’s “thoughts and prayers go out to the Ohio State community. Be safe, listen to first responders.”
