9th Annual Youth Business of Sports/STEM & Education Excursion at WNBA All-Star Weekend

Chicago students from the south and west sides of Chicago, between the ages of 6 and 18 were selected to attend the Youth Business of Sports/STEM & Education Excursion to learn firsthand about the Business side of Sports and attend the WNBA All-Star Weekend Game.

The students met with business of sports professionals from various careers such as sports media, sports management, sports entertainment, sports medicine, and many more.  

During this exciting event at WNBA All-Star Weekend, the students had the opportunity to engage with sports industry leaders.

The students also learned the winners of the Youth Business of Sports/STEM & Education Essay Contest ~ The WNBA. Winners were announced minutes before heading to the WNBA All-Star Weekend Game.

Honorable Mention: Farrah Price, Brandon WIlliams-Orr

For the first time, Dads & Daughters were invited to the trip. All expenses were covered for the students, chaperones, and parents to attend the educational excursion due to the sponsorship support of Meridian Health, Taylor Electric Company, Black United Fund of Illinois (BUFI), Links Illinois, and individual donors.
