The Gospel of Jesus Christ sung and proclaimed like never before from a historic church in the gospel capital of the world. The Greater Harvest MBC Sanctuary Choir of Chicago, IL. releases its highly anticipated choir album, this Friday, October 25, 2019 entitled; “The Greater Harvest Experience” recorded live at the Greater Harvest M.B. Church in 2017, under the direction of Chicago’s own Elder Johnell Nicholas who serves as Minister of Music at the one-hundred and seven year old religious institution.
After two years of production The Greater Harvest Sanctuary Choir, releases its highly anticipated album, with plenty to offer to its listening audience. This eight track project includes; High praise anthems, Christian Contemporary ballads, and even some congregational hymns with new twist. “A full on immersive worship experience,” as describe by some parishioners. “We wanted to capture the true essence of “Greater Harvest.” Says executive producer Montage Pholeon, “This type of worship experience is one of a kind and cannot be reproduced, it’s only how Greater Harvest can do it.”
Presented by Pastor Eric Thomas who is a living gospel legend in his own right, penning many gospel hits for such artist as; Walt Whitman and The Soul Children of Chicago, Bishop Larry D. Trotter & The Sweet Holy Spirit Combined Choir, and Mark Hubbard & The United Voices for Christ, just to name a few. Pastor Thomas who has been the visionary leader and driving force of Greater Harvest MBC for the past twelve years, wrote and arranged a few of the eight tracks on this project. “I’m a product of Greater Harvest, born and raised right here in it.” Says Thomas. “This sound is unexplainable and when the saints go up in praise! It can’t be described, it’s only something you can experience here at Greater Harvest and I’m glad we’ve captured a tiny bit of it to share with the world.”
