A well-known gas and convenience store chain in Waukegan has sold a winning Lucky Day Lotto jackpot ticket worth $850,000 over the weekend.

This is the fourth lucky winner who has snagged a prize of $500,000 or more playing Lucky Day Lotto so far this year.

The winning ticket was purchased at Thorntons, located at 3233 Grand Ave. in Waukegan, and matched all five numbers for the Sunday, February 5 evening drawing to take home the grand prize. The winning numbers were: 17-20-22-24-35.

A win for a player is also a win for the local retailer, who will receive a bonus of $8,500, which is one percent of the winning prize value.

Nearly 25,000 other prizes, ranging from $1 to $200, were won in this Lucky Day Lotto drawing.

The Illinois Lottery encourages all lucky winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize.

Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw in which to claim their prize.
