Seven people were wounded in a shooting outside a Gary music club early Sunday morning, and one person is in custody, according to police.
Witnesses say some kind of argument erupted in the parking lot outside Dirtty’s Jazz and Blues Club around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, just half an hour before the club closes. Gary police say several shots were fired, and seven people – including three women– were wounded in the gunfire. Another man injured his leg while attempting to get to safety.
Authorities did not release the ages or conditions of any of the people who were wounded. Police said they were all treated at nearby hospitals.
