The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the closure of the eastbound 61st Avenue ramp to southbound I-65 in Merrillville Sunday, May 8 through Thursday, May 12. The ramp will reopen by the end of the day on Thursday. Crews will be removing concrete and replacing it as part of an I-65 concrete restoration project.
Eastbound 61st Avenue traffic wishing to access I-65 will be detoured south on SR 53/Broadway, east on U.S. 30 to the I-65 interchange at 81st Avenue.
