The Jackson Park Golf Association (JPGA) is proud to announce it will host its 2nd Annual Golf Invitational, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Jackson Park Golf Course (6401 S. Richards Drive). Play will begin at noon to be followed by an awards dinner and evening program (approximately 4:30 p.m.) to welcome more community members to the golf course.
Participants will include city officials, community outreach organizations, business owners, and golfers who have supported and played Jackson Park for decades.
Golfers representing prominent area golf leagues and clubs with a proud history of playing both Jackson Park and South Shore golf courses are invited to come out and play the 120 year-old Jackson Park Golf Course. Teams will be competing for the coveted JPGA Invitational Trophies in male and female divisions.
Many thanks to the Chicago Park District, Chicago Parks Golf Alliance, and Tiger Woods along with his TGR Design team, for their effort to create a modernized golf course for skill levels from amateur to professional and everyone in between. Additionally, the six-hole family short course will be ideal for beginners, as well as more advanced players with limited time. Located in Chicago’s south side neighborhoods of South Shore and Woodlawn this restoration is highly anticipated and long-overdue.
Together with friends, family and neighbors, we will celebrate the end of a golf season which has been educational for the community and rewarding for JPGA as we’ve reached hundreds more youth both on and off the golf course. It promises to be a day of great fun for everyone!
