E. Alexander Smith Collection offers cutting edge fashions and accessories for women, men and kids

The E. Alexander Smith Collection’s 13-year-old founder, got his start in 2014, when at age nine he participated in the Future Founder’s Chicago Lemonade Day, leveraging his mom’s lemonade recipes to win prize money to fund his entrepreneurial dreams. Ethan Alexander Smith was a fashion model at age four, a field that had always been one of his interests. Inspired by a pair of gold (Michael) Jordan’s, Smith decided to put his business acumen to the test by establishing his namesake company. Today the brand offers inspired, high end streetwear and accessories for every member of the family.

Smith designed his signature logo, a cleverly crafted combination of the letter E and number 13, representing his first initial and the day he was born. He will be hosting a booth at this year’s Black Woman’s Expo beginning Friday, April 6 through Sunday April 8. The event opens from 10 am to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday.

“I used to say that I wanted to be a successful businessman when I grow up but, why wait?” says Smith. The young businessman has plans to expand the EASC line to include polos, knits, denim, underwear, socks and accessories. The brand is known for its diverse clientele, cool style and signature black and white tags.

Smith, a Chicago native has a jam packed entrepreneurial agenda that includes becoming a successful investor, gamer, actor, attending Paris fashion week as a designer/model, and of course having his brand worn by millions around the world. “I hope to inspire other kids to follow their dreams and even start a business if that is what they want to do.”
