Rev. Dr. David Neville named president of Interfaith Clergy

The 20-member organization of Christians, Jews and Muslims voted to elect Rev. Dr. David Neville the 2017 president of the Interfaith Clergy Council of Gary and Vicinity.

Rev. Neville, the pastor of Unity A.M.E. Zion Church won unopposed for the office after being encouraged to run by other members.

The mission of the Interfaith Clergy Council is to unite religious leaders in the area in spiritual fellowship and with special emphasis on social action.

Rev. Neville said the organization is currently working on raising money for school trips and writing grants. He said, “This is something we have been doing for the past 10 years.”
