ACCESS Blue Island Family Health Center holds Health Fair

ACCESS Blue Island Family Health Center invites the entire community to stop by its Summer Community Health Fair at 13000 Maple Ave., Blue Island, Illinois, on Saturday, July 23rd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ACCESS invites community members to learn more about the resources in the community and parents to prepare their children for the upcoming school year with back-to-school physicals. Children will receive free school supplies (while quantities last) and free food and entertainment. Adults can also receive free blood pressure and BMI screenings, as well as depression and anxiety screenings.

AN UPCOMING SUMMER Community Health Fair will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 13000 Maple Ave. in Blue Island by ACCESS Blue Island Family Health Center. Also during the health fair, women will be able to get breast health information and referrals for required Pap smears and mammograms. ACCESS’ benefits specialists will be on hand to enroll new patients into Medicaid, All Kids and Affordable Care Act insurance plans. HIV case managers will also share HIV/AIDS education, and community members can learn about banking information and other valuable community resources.
